James McLennan is Senior Vice President for Business Development at Rapidan Energy Group, where he leads growth across the firm's energy market, policy, and geopolitical research and data services.

James brings more than two decades of experience selling energy research and building commercial teams across U.S. and international markets, with a track record of turning senior relationships at the world's largest energy and financial institutions into sustained business results. Before joining Rapidan, he held senior leadership roles at IHS Markit and S&P Global, and spent 17 years at Wood Mackenzie leading global commercial teams serving the energy and financial sectors.

A native of Scotland, James earned an MA in Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen. He is based in Houston, Texas.
